On Sunday, October 20, we’re bringing the heart of Italian tradition to The Durham with our next Sunday Supper: Sunday Sauce. In many Italian-American homes, “Sunday Sauce” (or “gravy”) is more than just a meal—it’s a ritual. It’s the time when family and friends gather around the table, sharing stories, laughter, and a slow-cooked sauce filled with love and rich flavors. This October, we invite you to experience that same sense of warmth and community with a hearty, family-style feast.
The Menu:
- Green salad with pepperoncini, mozzarella, roasted peppers, salami, and Italian vinaigrette
- Garlic knots
- Lasagna with house made pasta, ground pork, beef, and fried eggplant
- Gluten-free and vegetarian eggplant parmesan
- Broccoli rabe with garlic, lemon, Calabrian chile, and olive oil
- Roasted fall squash with Italian salsa fresca, aged balsamic, crispy Brussels sprouts, and pine nuts
- And of course, tiramisu for a sweet finish
Priced at $40 for adults and $15 for kids under 12.
